Due to recently securing anumber of key projects, we are looking for an experienced Intermediate/Seniorlevel Tailings/Mine Waste Engineer who would like to progress to an Engineer ofRecord (EoR) role. We will support the successful candidate in their transitionto an EoR role through exposure to our existing Principal Tailings Engineersand EoRs.
As the Deputy EoR or EoR, thesuccessful candidate will contribute to and lead mine waste teams to complete avariety of tailings storage facility design, analysis, and construction tasksfor all phases of the mine life cycles.
Key duties and responsibilitiesinclude:
Assessingand understanding credible failure modes and how they apply to specifictailings storage facilities;
Providingrecommendations in the area of tailings and mine waste management to clients;
Providingsenior technical input and guidance to project teams and ensuring that appropriatetechnical standards are developed and maintained by regional teams;
Projectmanagement, budgeting and quality control for tailings, mine waste, heap leachand similar assignments;
Leadershipof multi-disciplinary project teams on local, regional and internationalconsulting assignments;
Buildingand maintaining business networks and effective client relationships togenerate consulting business; and
Deliveringbest practice consulting services to clients in Australia and overseas.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
To be in a Deputy EoR role, we require at least 7 years of experience working on tailings/mine waste related projects locally or internationally, ideally in a consulting environment;
Ability to work independently and within multi-disciplinary project teams;
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and report writing skills; and
Hold a valid working visa in Australia and a current manual drivers licence
