Job Posting Title Manager - Financial Controls Summary Aristocrat is seeking a Manager - Financial Controls for the ANZ (Australia & New Zealand) and APAC (Asia Pac) businesses on a 12-month fixed term contract basis.
This finance role has responsibility to deliver accurate and timely accounting services and robust financial controls for the Sydney-based finance function, leading the general ledger team for these businesses and partnering with senior finance leaders across the business.
Additionally, this role is a key member of the Global Shared Services Leadership team whose vision is to provide superior service experiences to our customers and employees to support scalable business growth.
What you'll do As a people leader for a team of five (four based in Sydney and one based in Macau), you will drive a high-performance culture where quality output matters Lead innovative projects to lead people engagement across the team, as well as continual team improvements Performance management responsibilities for the team Responsible for the General Ledger close process including balance sheet reconciliations, the consolidation of the ANZ and APAC businesses Ensuring robust internal controls are consistently applied Analytical reviews Compliance with accounting and finance policies / recommends & advises on policy improvements Monthly metrics reviews Responsible for producing effective and reliable working capital and fixed asset budgeting and forecasting Working capital management working closely with business partners including working capital functions (AP, AR, Inventory) and commercial business partners Ensuring appropriate user access and segregation of duties controls are in place for the reconciliation system tool (Blackline) and Shared Drives Embracing technology to help drive efficiency and process improvements across the team Advises stakeholders on accounting impacts of transactions / helps develop solutions to challenges with key focus on revenue transactions, margins analysis and revenue recognition Supporting the external audit requirements and providing assistance to any internal audits for ANZ/APAC Providing inputs for the delivery of all ANZ and APAC local financial statements on time to meet local statutory or regulatory requirements.
These include financial statements for New Zealand, Philippines and Singapore Regulatory reporting as required What we're looking for A minimum of 8 years of experience of a finance function, preferably with experience of financial and accounting close Candidate will be an active Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and most likely have completed their BA/BS in business, accounting, finance or related field with equivalent experience Leadership experience, preferable in dynamic environment Have identified change initiatives to deliver process improvements and efficiency Involved in technical accounting position assessments Audit experience (either as an external auditor, or being involved in working with auditors) People management – including building and developing teams Worked in an ERP and Consolidation tool Strong understanding of end-to-end processes, process mindset Excellent communicator who can present, write and influence all levels of staff and management Strong analytical and problem solving skills Why Aristocrat?
