Cloud Design Engineer - Azure

Due to the rapid development of our client’s Azure capabilities, we are currently searching for a Senior Cloud Design Engineer to assist in the development and design of their cloud infrastructure platform.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a highly recognised and leading enterprise organisation, utilising the latest tech in a continually growing and developing industry.

In order to be successful in this role you will need the below skills:

Technical skills

PaaS and IaaS design experience on the Azure or AWS Cloud Platform (PoC experience ideal)

Strong experience in technologies such as Powershell, ARM and JSON templates

Strong Network concepts experience with infrastructure as code (routing, load-balancing, VPN, DNS)

Strong Security, Infrastructure and Applications technical skills

Experience in infrastructure as code specific to networking and automation concepts

Clean and clear documentation experience with an awareness of security and compliance standards

Other skills

Excellent communication, engagement and coordination skills

A passion for mentoring and knowledge sharing keeping up to date with market trends

Self motivated and organised with strong time management skills

Advanced knowledge in DevOps and CI/CD (Jenkins, GIT etc.)

Strong experience in Terraform (desirable)

This is a role that requires the successful candidate/s to not only be highly technically able, but also highly collaborative and affable.

Ability to deal with high pressure, delivery focused environments is a MUST. You will also need to have impeccable written and spoken communication skills.
